Using The Lost Foam Casting Method to Create a Custom Engine Bracket

I finally had a practical use for my metal foundry! This weekend I used the lost foam casting method to create a custom engine bracket for a future energy generation project. The plan is to convert our food waste into energy using a methane biodigestor. By converting an old lawnmower engine to run off of methane we can use the engine to run an alternator, which will then charge a bank of batteries. This energy can then be used for miscellaneous tasks around the homestead.
