Tiny House Composting Bin Follow-Up

When I built the tiny house I wanted to integrate an easy to use compost system that would be less work than a traditional pile. In this video I talk about how our tiny house compost bin has been working for the past 5 months.

Overall it works decent as a collection point and oversized worm tower, however the pile isn’t getting nearly hot enough to break down some of the material. It was only around 55 degrees which is about what the outdoor air temperature was at the time.

We’ll continue to use this to collect our compost, but I’ll be transferring it to our bigger piles once it fills up so that it can heat up and break down faster.
