The rabbits are now 16 weeks old. The male has gotten quite large. Unfortunately we recently lost a litter of babies from the female. I’m going to give her a month to recuperate then I’ll breed her again.

This doesn’t have to look fancy. I’m trying to do everything as low budget as possible because the goal is to duplicate our projects in third world countries. The function of the project is the most essential component on the homestead. Improving the appearance will come later as we improve the design.

I’ve expanded the rabbitry to 4 cages. One is modified as a birthing cage with a 3 inch hardware cloth edge to prevent babies from slipping out between the cage wires.
